DISTANCE LEARNING ADMISSIONS

We recognize that many families are choosing distance learning for their children. We are proud to be able to partner with these parents who choose to educate their children at home, and we offer a variety of ways to coordinate support such efforts!

3rd - 8th Grade digital curriculum delivery system (Ignitia by Alpha Omega) requires a personal computer for the student (mobile if on Track 3). Upon enrollment, students are given diagnostic placement testing and customized courses are created/assigned.  


All distance learning students are invited to participate in Friday activities and learning, including chapel, as a part of the hybrid experience.

SPECIAL NOTICE

While MBCS is currently pursuing its accreditation through ACTS and WASC organizations, to be effective by the 2023 - 2024 academic school year, our distance learning programs will not be included in this cycle of review or approval due to the time and personnel constraints involved in this inclusion for now. 


This does not change the legal status of our distance learning program(s), nor the quality or legitimacy of what we offer. Nor does it signal any surrender of running said programs, though we are always re-evaluating the inclusion of any/every element of our offerings on an annual basis.

HYBRID COOPERATIVE AUGMENTATION

This allows our distance learning students to join us on campus for the equivalent of 1 school day per week on Fridays to enjoy more of our school culture, social development, and great activities! 


Typical on-campus participation includes:

 Weekly

  • 1 Day of Attendance
  • Chapel
  • Class projects/labs
  • Face-to-face teacher time
  • Recess times
  • Performing Arts opportunities
